PALAK PANNER PAROTHA

 

Spinach is a green leafy vegetable.  It is full of vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals and has an extremely high nutritional value.

Palak Panner Parotha can be enjoyed during breakfast with a cup of tea; or during lunch or dinner with any curry or soup. 

INGREDIENTS 


For the dough

2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
                   1 and 1/2 cup Spinach
                         1-2 Green Chilli
                            1 tsp Salt

For the filling

200 g Paneer
Salt to taste
1/4 cup Onion Finely Chopped
1 tsp Ginger Grated
1 tsp Green Chilli Chopped
2 tbsp Fresh Coriander Chopped
1 tsp Dry Mango Powder
1/2 tsp Roasted Cumin Powder
Oil for frying

How to make Palak Panner Paratha 

Add spinach and green chilli in a blender and blend to make a smooth paste

Use little water if required

Mix this paste with whole wheat flour and salt

Add water and knead to make a soft dough

Cover the dough and keep .aside

Mix all the ingredients for making the filling in the bowl

Divide the dough into large lemon sized balls

Dust and roll the dough ball to make a 4 inch circle

Keep 2-3 tbsp of filling in the centre of the circle and then bring the ends together

Dust and roll gently to make a 6 inch paratha

Heat a griddle

Transfer the paratha on the hot griddle

Cook until brown spots appear on both sides

A pple oil and cook until nicely browned

Serve hot with raita and pickle
